Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Cold Storage Warehouse workers to join our logistics team. This role is vital in managing the efficient handling, loading, and unloading of goods within a temperature-controlled warehouse environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong skills in heavy equipment operation, materials handling, and warehouse management systems to ensure smooth operations. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic setting that emphasizes safety, precision, and teamwork.
Location: Langley, BC
Responsibilities:
Manage shipping and receiving processes, ensuring proper documentation and compliance with safety standards
Conduct heavy lifting tasks up to 60 lbs while adhering to OSHA regulations and safety protocols
Handle materials with precision using appropriate equipment, including mechanical knowledge of warehouse tools
Assist in inventory management by organizing stock within cold storage areas and maintaining accurate records in warehouse management systems
Support warehouse distribution activities by coordinating with team members to optimize space utilization and workflow
Maintain cleanliness and safety standards throughout the warehouse environment, conducting regular inspections
Experience
Proven experience in warehouse distribution or logistics environments, preferably within cold storage facilities
Demonstrated proficiency in operating heavy equipment such as pallet jacks
Prior experience with order picking systems, RF scanners, and warehouse management systems
Strong knowledge of OSHA safety standards related to warehouse operations and heavy equipment use
Experience in shipping & receiving processes, including load & unload procedures
Background in materials handling, construction-related tasks, or mechanical troubleshooting is advantageous
Previous supervisory experience in a warehouse setting is preferred but not mandatory
Ability to perform physically demanding tasks involving heavy lifting while maintaining safety standards
Must be able to lift up to 60 LBS
