Position Overview
We are looking for afternoon-shift Heavy Equipment Operators with experience running wheel loaders, rock trucks, excavators, screeners, crushers, and gravel wash plants to join our team.
Location: Deroche, BC
Responsibilities
Operate and maintain heavy-duty equipment such as excavators, crawler dozers, and more in a safe and efficient manner
Load and aggregate materials onto trucks and to stockpiles
Perform routine maintenance on equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
Follow all safety protocols and procedures on site.
Work collaboratively with team members to meet project deadlines.
Skills & Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years of experience in civil construction
Able to work 10 hour shifts
Ability to perform heavy lifting and manual labour as required
Able to work periodic afternoons on rotation
Experience with excavators, crawls dozers and other heavy duty equipment and maintenance is a plus.
Knowledge of equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Previous experience in gravel processing and loadout is an asset but will train the right person.
Job Types: Full-time, Casual
Pay: $24.00 per hour
