Position Overview
Our client, a reputable topsoil and aggregates supplier, is seeking an experienced Equipment Maintenance Manager to oversee the efficient upkeep, safety, and reliability of their equipment and plant operations. This role is critical to minimizing downtime and ensuring safe, productive daily operations
Location: Abbotsford, BC
Responsibilities
Ensure efficient upkeep and optimal performance of all equipment and machinery
Prioritize and enforce safety standards across all maintenance activities
Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues
Run diagnostics to identify equipment faults and performance issues
Schedule preventative and corrective maintenance during planned downtime to minimize operational disruption
Coordinate and supervise maintenance staff and/or external service providers
Resolve maintenance issues in a timely and cost-effective manner
Maintain, resolve, and accurately document maintenance records, service logs, and compliance documentation
Work closely with operations to plan maintenance around production schedules
Skills & Qualifications:
Proven experience as an Equipment Maintenance Manager, Fleet Manager, or Senior Heavy Equipment Mechanic
Strong knowledge of heavy equipment, diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems
Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and run diagnostics
Strong organizational, documentation, and time-management skills
Safety-focused mindset with knowledge of applicable regulations
Leadership or supervisory experience preferred
Valid driver’s license
Experience in aggregates, topsoil, construction, or similar industries is an asset
