Position Overview
Best Personnel Inc. is currently accepting applications for an experienced Construction Safety Officer with OFA 3 for a long-term project in Central Kamloops.
This opportunity is based at a hotel project and is expected to run for approximately one year. We are looking for someone professional, reliable, and confident managing safety on an active construction site.

What this role involves
Conducting regular safety inspections and identifying hazards on site
Enforcing site safety procedures and supporting compliance with WorkSafeBC regulations
Providing toolbox talks, site safety guidance, and emergency response support
Responding to incidents and administering first aid when required
Investigating accidents and near-misses and reporting findings
Maintaining accurate safety records, inspection logs, and incident reports
Communicating clearly with supervisors, workers, and other site personnel
Assisting with general site duties as needed
Requirements
Valid Construction Safety Officer (CSO) certification
Valid Occupational First Aid Level 3 (OFA 3) certification
Minimum 1 year of construction site experience
Strong knowledge of WorkSafeBC regulations and site safety procedures
Fluent in English with strong verbal communication skills
Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions in high-pressure situations
Reliable, safety-conscious, and professional
Reliable transportation is preferred
Required gear
Hard hat
Steel-toed work boots
Reflective safety vest

Project duration is expected to be approximately one year, but hours, schedule, and assignment details may still be subject to client needs and site conditions. Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour
